So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the second topic for this week which is “SELF-DRIVING CARS”.

But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic which was “WHOSE FAULT IS IT?”.

This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about their thoughts on where the fault lay when kids made major infractions in the society. Who was to blame? The parents or the kids themselves.

We got to read the different opinions of different members. Some believed that the parents were responsible for the shortcoming of their kids and others believed that the kids were responsible for their own actions. No matter how good an upbringing a child had, some would still end up being a problem child. It was an enlightening topic indeed.

For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w133e1 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors will be listed below.

This is the reason why when children act out, the first question usually on everyone’s lips are about the parents.

PARENTING ON THE GO… by olujay@olujay

For this author, he’s of the opinion that parenting is something that is learned on the job, no one gets into it fully prepared and knowing exactly what to expect. He told us that while parents can do their best to point their kids to the right path, it’s always up to the kids to decide where exactly they want to end up.

GUIDING CHILDREN IN A WORLD OF TEMPTATION bhattg@bhattg

For this author, he believes that the parents are not the only factors that affect the upbringing of a child. The environment is also a critical part of it and it decides just how the child will end up. The environment a kid is raised can also be held responsible for their wrongdoings.
