Hi SteemIt Community!
I am Caroline Lima, 24. I was born in Brazil but I've been living in the United States for the past 4 years. I initially came here to pursue a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. Soon, in the Fall of 2018, I will start pursuing a doctorate degree at (unknown). It is yet to be decided where.

Ever since I was little (12 years old little >_<) I've been making friends on the internet. Some of them I even consider to be closer to me than the people who surround me on a daily basis. So I would say I am super into social media and the ability to connect with people around the world. But no, I am not an antisocial weirdo who doesn't look anywhere besides a shiny screen (or I would like to believe so). I believe this is primarily the reason why I am writing this post, with the hopes someone will actually read it, and maybe have an interesting interaction going.
While I don't believe to be particularly good at anything, I am interested in learning about most subjects and when I am a little drunk I like to tell my friends that "I will try anything at least once". Although that adage doesn't hold itself completely true, I think it's a way of describing my sense of curiosity (and adventure?) and it is the reason why I have engaged in many random activities throughout my life, such as welding, pottery, rappelling, sailing, surfing, acting and competing on a 5 km obstacle race, to mention a few. And from mentioning those you might assume I must be talented with crafting and sports, but that would be very far from the truth.
And this is why I don't like talking about myself with the purpose of "letting people know who/what I am". The impression you will have about me just depends on what I decide to give priority. Do I tell you I love studying philosophy first? Or that in a day I might spend 14 hours playing games on my PC? Or that I love dancing to electronic music? Or that I like creating memes? Do these things mean I am funny? Or that I am nerdy? An intellectual? Or just trying hard to be any of these things? Even I don't know the answer. How can I properly introduce myself when I am too obsessed with the idea of not putting labels on myself?
Anyway, I think this is enough rambling for a post that is about to be read by half a dozen netizens. >_<
If you made it to the end of this post, thank you for your attention :)
See ya!
