I wrote some articles on this platform in the past but I was not very serious about it so far... Therefore the articles were lacking depth, quality, seriousness...
About a week ago I wrote a short article regarding another Bitcoin fork that appeared on the market. To be honest, I wrote that in a hurry and if I am very self critical, it was not of the highest quality. Eventhough some people were kind enough to upvote it, which I am grateful for.
What surprised me really was that under payouts it said I earned about 2$~
But when I claimed my rewards I realized I got the following:
1.130 SBD, and 0.797 STEEM POWER for krisr92/another-day-another-fork-liza
Which roughly equals to 15$ from the Steam Dollars and 1.5$ from the Steem Power at current prices.
Of course this has a lot to do with the fact that Steam Dollars and Steem as well had an incredible growth in the last week, but still.
To some people this might not seem like a lot of money. But to someone who lives in a country where the average wage after taxes is around 500$ per month, this is amazing!
And now that I think about how much the authors of 'trending' and 'hot' articles get, phew, it blows my mind.
It motivates me a lot to continue, and to take this platform more seriously, as well as focus on writing higher quality content, and also to invest a little bit into the platform.
