Legendary boxer Mike Tyson said in an interview last Thursday that Connor McGregor was worth a second chance to redeem himself in public after the Dublin bar violence in April.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, Tyson appeared on ESPN and praised the actions of Connor McGregor, who admitted his wrongdoing at the time, saying,
"He's a great man, and he's a really close man. And through this, Connor will get good energy. I believe it," he said.
In an interview with ESPN Ariel Helwani Thursday, McGregor said he felt responsible for punching a 50-year-old man at a bar and regretted his actions.
"Truth doesn't matter what happened there. I was wrong. He was the one who should have had his own good time at the bar, and should not have been subjected to this kind of thing. Although it was only five months ago, I tried to make amends and I have since."
"However, it doesn't matter, either. I was wrong. I should have said this first, and I should have fulfilled my responsibilities. I owe a lot to the fans who supported me, and I owe my mom, and my family. And I owe a lot to everyone who helped me througout my MMA trainings."
Therefore, Mike Tyson believes he should be given a second chance. Although, this is not his first, but nevertheless the public should try and understand him.
