1. Georges St. Pierre

3 time welterweight champion. Started out as an undefeated striker, before losing to Matt Hughes. Changed his game cause of it. Went on to beat Sean Sherk, and edged out BJ Penn to face Hughes again. Proceeds to destroy Hughes in a trilogy. Also avenges his other defeat to Matt Serra. Defeats Josh Koscheck twice, beats Jake Shields, Carlos Condit, Nick Diaz, and gets awarded the victory against Johnny Hendricks. Retires for 4 years, then returns and moves up to Middleweight to defeat Michael Bisping and win the middleweight title.

2. Matt Hughes

The most dominant welterweight in UFC for 5 years. Had a 29-3 record when he faced Carlos Newton for the title. Slams him unconscious to win the welterweight title. Defends against Sean Sherk and Frank Trigg before losing to BJ Penn in an upset. After BJ leaves, Hughes submits GSP to win the Welterweight title once again. He defeats a cheating Frank Trigg yet again in spectacular fashion, dismantles an old Royce Gracie, and goes on to get his revenge against BJ Penn. Loses in a rematch to GSP, and his prime was over by the time the third GSP fight rolled around. He managed to beat Matt Serra before Josh Koscheck retired him.

3. Tyron Woodley

Beat Josh Koscheck, Paul Daley, Carlos Condit, and Kelvin Gastelum before beating Robbie Lawler in record time to win the welterweight title. Defends his title 4 times. Ties Wonderboy, then beats him, runs through Demian Maia, and ends undefeated Darren Till's hype.

4. Robbie Lawler

The most ruthless fighter in the welterweight division, he deserves his spot on the list. After starting out as a mediocre fighter, he got much better as he got older. Earlier wins were against Frank Trigg, Murilo Rua, and Josh Koscheck. After losing to Johnny Hendricks, he beats Hendricks in a rematch to win the UFC Welterweight Championship, and 2014 fight of the year. He beats Rory MacDonald in the bloodiest UFC match in history, and wins the award for 2015 fight of the year. Has 2016 match of the year once again against Carlos Condit. This guy was on a fucking roll as champ, his title win and defenses all winning Fight Of The Year.

5. Jake Shields

A black belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu, he is also a former Strikeforce champion. His wins include Carlos Condit, Dan Henderson, Tyron Woodley and Demain Maia. He had a 15 fight winning streak coming in multiple weight classes.

6. Nick Diaz

images(5).jpg

Former Strikeforce Welterweight champion, with 3 defenses. Has wins over Robbie Lawler, Frank Shamrock, and BJ Penn. He also submitted Takanori Gomi while he was high on cannabis.

7. Kamarudeen "Marty" Usman

images(6).jpg

Current UFC welterweight champ. NCAA Division 2 national champion, with a 15-1 MMA record. Beats Leon Edwards, Demain Maia, Rafael Dos Anjos, Warlley Alves, and upsets Tyron Woodley and wins in decisive fashion against him, to win the UFC Welterweight title. Also, he is referred as to as "Marty" by Ben Askren because his high school coach was a total idiot and mispronounced "Kamarudeen" as "Marty"
