────────────◈◉◈────────────
Flesh golems are fearsome creatures made from the decaying limbs and body parts of the dead, reanimated by powerful necromantic magic. They are mindless and without mercy, serving only the will of their creators.

For this week, let's all check Flesh Golem and see if he would be useful in our builds. Equipped with the powerful heal ability and high health pool, the Flesh Golem can withstand tremendous damage from other enemies.
While Flesh Golem is strong, this unit has a clear weakness when his Heals are attacked. Affliction and the rule set, Healed Out, are its worst nightmare.
In this blog, we will discuss strategies to maximize the unit's strengths while mitigating its weaknesses for optimal performance on your games.

Heal |
The higher the unit's health, the higher the heal is as well. This is why Last Stand from Scarred Llama Mage is a good fit for Flesh Golem as that ability increases the health of this unit by half if it's the last unit on your field.
Void |
Since Flesh Golem is a tank, having a defensive ability is good. Void reduces the damage from your enemy's magic attacks which makes this unit a good choice against mirror matches since Earth element has a lot of magic attacks, especially since their magic attacks are normally increased by using Obsidian summoner.
| Flesh Golem's Strength lies on its Heal ability and high health. Because of these two factors, you can be sure that he can withstand a lot of damage from your enemies. This is furthermore supported if you combine him with Scarred Llama Mage for the Last Stand ability. |
| Since Flesh Golem's strength is healing, his weakness would be Affliction. Affliction removes any form of healing from that unit and will not be allowed to be healed by other units. Tank Heal, Heal, and Triage are all affected by this and can be cured by using Cleanse. On the other hand, the rule set Healed Out, directly removes any form of healing so no Cleanse will save your unit and strategy. Avoid using Flesh Golem during this rule set. |
Explosive Weaponry |
Since Flesh Golem isn't reliant on its team but the summoner, the Blast from Explosive Weaponry does not affect you negatively. If you will be using Scarred Llama Mage as your summoner, it would even help you since your enemies would be killing off your units early giving your Flesh Golem the Last Stand as early as possible.
Noxious Fumes |
Since you would normally combine Flesh Golem with Scarred Llama Mage, Noxious Fumes is no problem since Scarred Llama Mage has Cleanse that can remove the poison from this rule of combat allowing you to freely have Flesh Golem on the board not taking any poison damage.
Unprotected |
Flesh Golem has no armor and doesn't need one due to his high health. Without armor, he would be unaffected by this rule set making him the perfect unit to be used in this rule set.
Healed Out |
As I mentioned, Healed Out removes and stops any form of healing for any units. Heal, Tank Heal and Triage are all negated and there is no abilities that can remove this restriction from this battle.
Back to Basics |
Since Flesh Golem's very reliant on healing, having Back to Basics which removes all the abilities from the units also removes your advantage.
Silenced Summoners |
While this would be dependent on which summoner would you be using, it still removes one of your best combos, Flesh Golem and Scarred Llama Mage making this a big disadvantage on your side.

Starting Round 2, my Last Stand kicked in which increased Flesh Golem's Health to 18. At 18 Health, he now heals 6 health per round. The total damage of my enemy is 3 which means I would just heal all of their damage and will win slowly but surely since they don't have any units that has heal like I do.
It's important to be aware of its weakness to Affliction and to avoid using it as much as possible during the Healed Outrule set. By considering these factors and accompanying him with good summoners and units, players can use the Flesh Golem to their advantage as the main tank and dominate the battlefield.
