Kneel, insignificant mortals, and let your new ruler be revealed.

Since I miss the good 'ol demon, Yodin Zaku, I searched around if there's any Rebellion unit that would complement him. I was not expecting it but I actually find quite a lot. Today, we'll be focusing on a normally unused unit named, "Muspelheim Demon."

Scattershot |
Scattershot is a tricky ability. The only time I think it would be strong is if coupled with Blast ability or if the enemy unit has Taunt since it bypass Taunt.
True Strike |
Since Muspelheim Demon has low speed, True Strike is a good ability. It makes sure all the attacks hit and counts.
Oppress |
Oppress is also another good ability since it makes him able to one shot units like Merdaali Guardian if the Scattershot hits it.
| Muspelheim Demon's strength comes from the abilities and how good it is with Blast and how the ability can pass through Taunt. With Scattershot and Blast, he can eliminate the low health enemy early. |
| Muspelheim Demon's weakness is because it's too reliant to Yodin Zaku to be strong. When he is paired with Yodin Zaku, he's one of the strongest, but when not, he's one of the weakest and that inconsistency is very bad unless you have bought Yodin Zaku for yourself. Renting Yodin Zaku regularly is quite expensive and it can drain your budget. |
Going the Distance |
Since Muspelheim Demon is a range unit, it makes sense that this is a rule set for him. Also, there are only a few good units with range attacks in Fire element.
Equalizer |
In Equalizer, damage is the priority and with Muspelheim Demon's high base range damage coupled with double damage from Oppress, Equalizer is a good rule for him.
Keep Your Distance |
Same as Going the Distance, since he's unaffected by this rule, it would be a good addition to your team especially with Yodin Zaku.
Lost Legendaries |
While Muspelheim Demon is unaffected in this rule set, Yodin Zaku is unusable in Lost Legendaries. This means he won't be as strong since Muspelheim Demon's Scattershot will not have a proper combo.
Aim True |
Muspelheim Demon already has True Strike which has the same effect of Aim True. This rule set makes that ability useless which means you're down one less ability for him.
Equal Opportunity |
In Equal Opportunity, everyone has Opportunity that targets the units with the lowest Health. Since Muspelheim Demon has low health, he is an easy target for Opportunity.

This battle made the Scattershot-Blast combo shine. You can see that the enemy Helheim Demon was useless in this battle. The taunt doesn't really work on Scattershot and that's the reason why Moxian Rebel and Scavo Hireling dies as early as Round 1.
I made a post before about Blood Maker and I was astounded at the number of similarities between that and this unit. Just like Blood Maker, this unit is not really that strong unless you have it combo'ed with the right summoner but if you can use Yodin Zaku, he's one of the best unit there is in Rebellion Set.
