Ode to the Crocodile
A Sonnet
by kpd
My crocodile, you inspire me to write.
How I hate the way you squeak, walk and roar,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the dirty thor.
Let me compare you to a blithe sawdust?
You are more cheerful, immortal and fine.
Blue heat toasts the roughfrolics of August,
And summertime has the mortal feline.
How do I hate you? Let me count the ways.
I hate your perfect attitude and legs.
Thinking of youreyelashes fills my days.
My hate for you is the beautiful kegs.
Now I must away with a hungry heart,
Remember my good words whilst we're apart.
