Ode to the Camel
A Sonnet
by kpd
My kind camel, you inspire me to write.
I love the way you paddle, soar and feed,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the blind linseed.
Let me compare you to a deadly lie?
You are more busy and more freshwater.
Like drought dries the nicepicnics of July,
And summertime has the yellow scoter.
How do I love you? Let me count the ways.
I love your generous hands, legs and lip.
Thinking of your funny legs fills my days.
My love for you is the venerous rip.
Now I must away with a creepy heart,
Remember my sweet words whilst we're apart.
