A large treasure, Dating back to the second half of the X century, found on the German island of rügen in the Baltic sea, according to the website of the Department of culture and monument protection of the Federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
As they say in the message, the find was made last weekend. The treasure includes about 600 silver items, including coins and jewelry.
"About 100 of the coins found belong to the minting of king Harald I of Denmark and Norway. This is the largest find of such coins in the southern Baltic," the Department reports.
On a trace of an ancient treasure of archaeologists brought their Amateur colleague and 13-year-old schoolboy who found the first silver items in January, the report says.
