Today i took my walk over the other side of the lighthouse normally i would jog from my place to Tallow beach up to the lighthouse and back home a distance of about 10 km but today i drove to the other side of Cape Byron lighthouse to take my walk and jog to show you other views of our amazing Byron Bay beaches and coastline.
Wategos Beach over the other side of Tallow Beach is also one beautiful white sandy beach great for family picnics , swimming , surfing and extraordinary views from the higher ground.
From this point at Wategos beach you are at the most easterly point of Australian mainland giving you never ending views of the coastal mainland and beaches as far as your eye can see.
This beautiful sheltered beach has the best picnic and play areas for kids and offers you free beach side barbecues and after you have cooked up a great lunch and cooled of you can be ready to tackle them steep steps that will take you up to the Cape Byron Lighthouse and enjoy some more spectacular views.
I had left my walk to a bit later in the evening for two reasons one it was cooler and second i wanted to catch the evening sunset been such a beautiful day i imagined it would be a amazing sunset over Cape Byron.
But unfortunately i couldn't stay any longer on the trail of the lighthouse as i had to get back down to Wategos beach were my car was parked before it got any darker. So that completes my walk and jog for #wednesdaywalk another awesome day in Byron Bay.
