Exploring the West Coast of South Africa made me visit this really beautiful little fishing village called Veldrift.
The town is build on the estuary where the Berg River runs into St Helena Bay with the estuary also making for a beautiful natural harbor.
The fishing industry is most definitely the heartbeat of this town with pilchards and Sardines topping the list.
One of the most picturesque little roads along side the Berg River takes you to the West Coast's Bokkom (Dried and salted Sardines) hub!

All along the small street you'll find the little fish hanging on strings to dry.
It makes for a nice snack with plenty of liquid afterwards. LOL!
