It was a 'natural' disaster, and Samuel or anyone else shouldn't have blamed themselves for it - although, it could be painful. It was Isabel's destiny. Thankfully, she used her last wish to give them peace of mind that she was okay wherever she was. It's a very beautiful and touching story.
