What Our Spacefarers Have Been Up To

  • ISS: On 5 November 2026, Joshua Kutryk (CSA) and Anil Menon (NASA) completed a 6-hour 59-minute spacewalk and installed the eighth and final roll-out solar array, finishing the station power upgrade from about 160 kW to 215 kW. The crew then serviced spacesuits, stowed tools, and held a post-spacewalk debrief. Sergey Teteryatnikov ran cardiorespiratory measurements; Anna Kikina serviced ventilation and payload hardware; commander Pyotr Dubrov completed carbon-dioxide monitoring and module inspections.
  • Tiangong: As of 1 November 2026, the Shenzhou-23 crew continued space-medicine and microgravity experiments, including force-perception tests and blood-sample processing, plus combustion and containerless-experiment cabinet maintenance. Health checks included ECG, blood pressure, and traditional Chinese medicine assessments. CMSA has not yet named which crew member will remain for the planned year-long stay.
