The milestone came with Group 15-25, 27 V2 Mini satellites off Vandenberg at 1:28pm NZDT on Tue 13 Oct, on B1088's 20th flight. All 27 deployed, bringing the launch tally to about 13,015.
Based on Jonathan McDowell's ledger up to 11 Oct plus this batch, roughly 11,158 are in orbit and 11,144 are working. Catalogs lag a day or two, so expect those to shift a little.
Not long ago a few hundred satellites felt like a lot. Now one company launches 27 in an afternoon and calls it routine. 🚀
