This is something I have wanted to do for a while. Get a brighter front headlight. So hit my favourite online cycle shop and after looking at a few options decided on the Ravemen K450 Front Light. Visit the link to see the specs, the price at this date was $55.46NZ (on sale).
Note, I was looking for a light that can be charged with a USB-C port, which is my prefered port.

It was straight forward to mount and charge the unit in the lounge (which one does with any new shiney toy) at 6am. Talk about bright the moment I turned it on, wow! The power button will take a while to get used to, a bit of pressure is needed to hold it down the 1.5secs in order to turn it ON or OFF (3.5secs for the intelligent daytime riding mode, I don't intend to use this function)
Once on (pulse) subsequent button pushes cycles high > mid > low > pulse etc
That's all I needed to know, time to hit the streets
I didn't leave home until around 7:40am and already the sun was rising but still dark enough to see how all the traffic signs lit up in pulse mode. I am extremely happy with the change' I'm just hoping it doesn't annoy oncoming traffic.

I did a lot of stopping today, taking many pictures and videos and generally having a great time out there. At that time of the morning with traffic head one way mainly out of the surburb, a peaceful ride. 18km is a decent distance to do a small test. BTW KFC is not open this early in the morning.
