Facebook's senior executive, David Marcus who was previously handling Messenger, recently announced that he will be setting up a new and small team - more like a task force with a strong focus on evaluating how could Facebook leverage blockchain and related technologies.
Facebook has a strong and loyal user base who spend a lot of time on the platform posting, liking, sharing etc. Facebook has also gradually been adding commerce on its platform.
It will not be a big surprise, if people are seen purchasing items on FB using a FBT (Facebook Token :) ) in the next 1-2 years.
