The Tiniest Gestures

Tiny was a woman. I mean, that was her name. Er, what we called her. She lived across the street from us in the, well, tiny house. She was a little older woman--probably in her seventies--and she kept her hair up like little old women in their seventies do (with a weekly visit to the salon).

The thing was... she wasn't so tiny in one way.

Tiny had a hundred or so porcelain dolls. The dolls had their own personal bedroom. The only time I went into the room, I shivered, looking around at all the different type of dolls--one doll was given "fake boobs" to look like Dolly Parton--and left not long after I entered.

After she died, I wondered where all those dolls went.

I would like to thank mariannewest@mariannewest and freewritehouse@freewritehouse for adopting me as the redfish/minnow of the week. Every week, freewritehouse@freewritehouse "adopts" a person somewhat new to Steemit and they support them for the next week. Keep an eye out for the next contest -- you could be it!

And just a reminder -- Extra-Life is this Saturday, November 3, 2018. For 24-hours, I will be playing (and streaming) video games to help sick kids at the Children's Medicine hospitals across the United States. I have linked to my donation page above -- if you can donate, please do.
