In the Lord are promises of different kind given to those who accept Him as their God. This assurance was founded in Jesus when He died on the cross, the moment on the cross when reconciliation with God was perfected. Thereby, making all to be partaker of kingdom of God,a greater promise of God.
Other promise of God for Christians are protection, provision, fighting our battle, blessing and many more. But when promises come from God through His words, revelation, prophecy etc, you don't have to go to sleep.
Genesis 15:1-2 KJV
After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. [2] And Abram said, Lord God , what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?
The Lord promised Abram to be his exceeding great rewards but no child for Abram. He could not keep mute, he prayed to God stating what he wanted. No wonder Bible says "Ask and it shall be given".
The Lord may have good plan for you but you have role to play in achieving it. Pray to God to get everything done. A close mouth is more or less a close destiny.
When promised by God, don't go to sleep.
