Many times, we've come across videos on social media where there are comparisons between how seriously developed countries are keen on inventions and innovations and how underdeveloped countries such as Nigeria and many other African countries are keen on churches and prayers. I mean, while the young ones in countries like China and the USA are busy building technologies from the soil, just as God created man from the soil, the young ones in Nigeria are busy sleeping in church, praying 24 hours for things to work(I'm not saying prayers don't work).
Some weeks ago, a very popular and well-respected clergyman in Nigeria, during one of his sermons, said those countries that are dedicated to inventions and innovations have such as their calling, while countries like mine, Nigeria, have revival (church and prayers) as their calling.
Did you get that? It means countries like China and Japan, which have good depth in inventions and innovations, are created for such, while African countries such as Nigeria are created to do church. Does this make sense? If this makes sense to you, then the sense needs to be traded for something else.
This broke the internet, with fire and brimstone raining from the sky. 90% of Nigerians who came across the message angrily got angry. Like, they angrily switched into high tempo of anger over such a thing coming out of a man who has thousands of followers. This means he's leading people astray.
"Do not attack a man of God."
Even when he's saying rubbish?
Although I'm not a fan of going to great lengths to counter some practices of clergymen and religions, should everyone keep quiet in the face of foolishness as these people keep making a mockery of what we believe? Sometimes these set of people make one wish for the world to end so that everyone will be judged and the ones that need to be flogged by "koboko" to be dealt with.
A lot of people, especially those in the league of the aforementioned clergyman, have come out to say that humans have no right to judge or speak against the "foolish" sermons of these clergymen because humans don't have the right to judge. This was how a clergyman was selling a heaven ATM card (debit card) that could supposedly be used to withdraw money from any ATM, and guess what? People actually bought the ATM cards for hundreds and thousands of dollars. Lest I forget, the ATM card is still on sale in case you want to buy one. You'll have access to withdraw from Heaven Bank.
Mehnnnn, things are really happening.
