I know the stress I go through every day to earn $1, and most days, I don't even earn up to that. Moreover, we are in a country where $1 cannot even buy a meal. It's that bad.
It's an Afrobeat song with a special beat reminiscent of the Igbo tribal/cultural music, popularly known as Highlife. This type of song has a unique way of dancing; it doesn't require much effort because it's typically meant for affluent people. Rich people don't struggle to dance; they move their legs with ease, and however they perform it is acceptable. With a glass of drink in hand and a nod of the head, it's good to go.
The video director captured this very well, depicting a gathering of friends partying with an abundance of food and drink, moving around casually as a form of dancing.
The audio of the song was released early February 2024, and it received applause from everyone for its lyrical brilliance. It's also a very danceable song; at least, it can pull some people away from their lamentations to a dancing mood....after all, the problems in the world never seem to end; they keep coming just like soldiers in the barracks— the more they go, the more soldiers occupy the barracks.
The video of the song was released last week (late February 2024), and I eagerly watched it to feel the real vibe. The video doesn't have as many views as the audio, but I guess people were satisfied with the audio and its lyrics.

After the song was released, the internet went on fire with many criticism and accusations.
The first was, The song is a fraternity song especially the part of the lyrics that say, "Dey your dey, make nobody worry nobody". I laughed when I saw videos trying to justify the stuff😅
The second one was that he stole the lyrics.
I went to make research and I found out that actually, the chorus of "dey your dey" is a common slang in the Eastern part of Nigeria. Can't slangs be used??? Lol😅
