Greetings People!馃檶

No doubt, two of the craziest meals to prepare, even though they look simpler to a lot of people (mostly females), are PAP(Africa corn pudding) and Semovita(wheat flaked) . These meals typically require the grace of God to have a good end product.
I've been there three times; I even used YouTube videos, and I boldly ended up making rubbish, and I didn't feel bad about it because I was yet to acquire that grace....maybe I needed more fasting and prayer.

Today's morning welcomed me with such a fate again, and this time, it's a popular one: CUSTARD

Yesterday's night, I didn't eat enough food before I slept because there was no cooked food and I wasn't ready to pass through the rumbles of making a fresh soup. So I slept like that, with hungry intestines gasping for air as food.

I woke up this morning feeling terribly hungry. It's so bad that I didn't have lady's type of food at home such as noodles in my house; I would have settled for such.

So I planned to make a tangible meal to satisfy my crying stomach.

While waiting for the market to wake up, I stumbled upon a sachet of custard that my brother fed me with when I was sick some weeks ago.

To me, it's considered a watery food and only meant for "Ajebos"(rich kids), but at that time, my instinct pushed me to have it as a semi-breakfast before I finally prepare a real meal. Maybe it can save my stomach for 10 minutes before I'll start crying for food again.

Most interestingly, I don't know how to make this custard because it falls in the family of Pap and Semovita.

I made up my mind to ask the woman (a shop owner) close to my house when I go to buy milk and sugar. I got there, bought the milk and sugar, and as I was about to ask her, my real me (instinct) purged me: "You want to ask her and face mockery and embarrassment? What's YouTube used for?"

I retraced my steps from asking her because I knew that even if she doesn't laugh at me on the spot, she will surely use me as a topic for discussion with her friends.

I got home, quickly logged on to YouTube, and searched for "How to Make a Custard." A series of video tutorials popped up, and I scrolled down to look for any Indian's video because those guys are good at YouTube tutorials, but I didn't see any, so I settled for a slay queen's video.

Trust slay queens, na; they'll use half of the video to show off their endowments. I just swallowed the pills and watched to the end.

After watching, I brought out my tools and arranged everything as instructed. In order not to make a mistake, I placed my phone on the kitchen table, put the video on play while I watched, and followed up on the steps. Funny enough, I ended up making a 'seedfull' meal instead of a thick seedless meal....a rubbish in a nutshell

I got angry at myself and most especially the YouTuber; I felt she knew what she did.

Why is it always like that?

Sometimes it looks like there's a part that these YouTube teachers don't add to their videos that will make someone to end up doing the opposite so as to watch again for them to gain high views.

I felt really frustrated, and at that time, my stomach gave me a dying bite again,What a way of laughing at me! I just washed off everything and went outside, hoping to miraculously see the YouTuber passing so I could....(You know the imagination)

Thanks for reading.
