I heard the knock faintly, from where my crumbling frame sunk itself in the mobile support chair, I wanted the person gone...
Again came the knock faintly... What persistence.... This was almost thirty minutes of knocking...
I wheeled my chair to the door to meet up with this never tiring visitor,
As my hands reached out for the lock, I could feel the gentle cool and dry breeze hitting every pore of my skin....
Oh, it was a heartless thing to do... I had left someone standing there in the snowing night for minutes...in the cold...
As the creaking door opened gently, behold just in front of me was the most unusual young Lady I have ever come across, her eyes were bluish green, and had sparks in them that seemed to remind me of Meliah...
Her hair blond and curly, with staints of snow .... White clouds of air streamed from her pointed nose...
She open her mouth and the only words I remember are...
I am meliah James....
I stood slowly, she reached out to help me, but my arms for once seemed to find strength from God knows where, I looked at her, and fell on my knees weeping...
How could this be possible?
I completely forgot the pains from the accident that took her mum, only to open my arms to receive my long lost daughter..
We spent the rest of Thanksgiving catching up on the missed 20years of our lives...
