crypto currency wallets and more

hello guys I'm a little new to cyptocurrency and I'm looking for the best wallet to store several coins and I currently use binance but not sure how to buy currencies with usd coinbase and other sites are down or the verification process is long.

1. binance how to purchase with USD ?
   2.ledger does this store all coins?
2. virwox you can purchase sll and trade for bitcoin would this be a good idea then add bitcoin to binance
   to trade for other coins?
