Growing up, I have always loved playing with electronics, I would take my dad's old radio set and open it. I would look for what makes the radio talk. Just few months back, my stabilizer was having an issue and when I asked the electrician how much he would charge me to fix it; the price he mentioned was so high. I took my screw driver, opened the stabilizer and behold it was just a loosed wire. I fixed it and I was able to use it. I was able to save some money.
I remember when I was in the university and the plumbing in my room had some issues. I didn't have enough money to get a plumber. So I had to fix the issue myself and I can tell you it wasn't easy. The regulator of the shower was a rusty and it made it difficult for me to turn on the tap. I loosed the regulator and I was so confused about what I should do. I just greased the regulator and fixed it back. I was hoping it would work. And behold it was working. I quickly had my bath and rushed out for classes. Imagine I didn't fix the shower? I would probably miss my classes that day.
The most recent fix I made was when I got a new ceiling fan. I was determined to install it myself. Well at first it looked pretty difficult but I was able to maneuver it after about four trials. After I succeeded in fixing the fan. I was so proud of myself and I can tell you that the next ceiling fan I will be getting won't take my up to 30 minutes, I will be done fixing it.
Helping a child in distress can so satisfying. A little child on my street was crying and I asked him what the problem was and he showed me. His toy car had stop working and he was looking for who would help him fix it. I took the car from him and I fixed it. The next day he came to my house with his friends and I had 3 more toy cars to fix. Most of them just needed to be glued. These kids were so happy and thanked me like I just gave them a million dollars. I was happy I put a smile on their faces.
The fixes I have made so far have helped me grow, and I can say that after this post I will sit down and write out some other items of in my house that need fixing.
