Mary is a young, beautiful lady; she is 20 years old. She is the only child of her parents. Her parents treasure her like gold. After five miscarriages, Mrs. Victoria finally had a child. To Mrs. Victoria, Mary is her consolation, and she does not joke with her. While growing up, Mary loved singing and dancing. Mum, I would love to be a dancer," Mary said. Mrs. Victoria looks at her little child and smiles No, Mary, you are not going to be a dancer". Mary runs into her room and starts crying.
Mr. Fred returns from work, and it's strange that Mary, who is always the first person to welcome him back home, is not there. "Where is Mary?" he asks "She is in her room crying", "Why?" Mr. Fred asks. "She said she wants to be a dancer, but I told her no, she cannot be a dancer," Mrs. Victoria replied to her husband. Mr. shook his head and said "But you know she has a passion for dancing, and I think we should encourage her". Mrs. Victoria roared like a lion: "My only daughter cannot be a dancer".

Mary just finished high school, and she is waiting for her admission to the university. She has been secretly going out to dance with a dance group. She comes back home limping. Mary opens the door and finds her mom sitting in the living room. "What is wrong with you, Mary?" Mrs. Victoria asked her daughter with a look of displeasure. Mum, I broke my leg while dancing". "What!!!!" Mrs. Victoria shouted "You have been going out to dance after I warned that you are not allowed to dance in this house". "But Mummy, Dad supports me dancing," Mary said. "What does your father know about carrying a child for nine months?" Mrs. Victoria said with so much rage. "Now that you have broken your leg, let me see how you will dance again," Mrs. Victoria said, walking away from the living. Mary stood there crying; her only wish was for her mother to support her.
Mr. Fred comes home and finds his daughter crying. "What is wrong?" he asks Mary. "I broke my leg during rehearsal, and mom scolded me," Victoria said with tears in her eyes. "It's okay; I know dancing will take you places, since you have a passion for it. For the leg, I will take you for an X-ray," Mr. Fred said.

Mary and her dance crew just won the regional dance championship and will be competing for the national championship. The winners of the national championship will go home with $10,000. Victoria informs her parents about the competition. "My daughter, I know you can win the national championship," said Mr. Fred. Mrs. Victoria is rather shocked by the prize. "You mean you get to win that amount just for dancing?" she asked. "Not only that, you also get a scholarship to study at one of the best universities in the world," Mary replied. "Then what are you waiting for?my daughter go and win the national championship," Mrs. Victoria said, and everyone smiled. Mary was happy that her mother had finally approved of her dancing.

It is the final of the national championship, and Mary and her crew made it to the final of the competition. Mrs. Victoria invited her friends and neighbors to come and watch the final at her house. Everyone is in the living room, and the judges are about to announce the result of the competition. Mrs. Victoria is praying and hoping her daughter and her crew win the competition. Mary and her crew are announced as the winners of the national championship, and Mrs. Victoria screams "That's my dancing queen". Everyone laughs as she tries to dance and mimic Mary.
