I was chubby from as long as I could remember.
I looked cute when I was young with round cheeks, as I grew older into high school. Things started to change.
Adults would tell me that I need to lose some weight and how great I would look if I do.
At the time, I didn't get why it was considered beautiful to have a slim figurer was and I still don't. However, since everybody around me considered slim as beauty, I accepted it.
Nowadays, that mindset is set like concrete. Never to be removed. I tried various exercises and medication to drop weight and when I loss few pounds people would cheer me to lose more. As I learned from adults and wise peers that being slim isn't what defines beauty. Beauty is nothing but the way that you express yourself. That was beauty for them. However, even people remind me that being slim isn't the right definition of beauty. I never took a step further than that young girl trying to lose weight, because I still do. I will never be able to run free from those people who enjoys calling people fat and criticizing them for who they are. I am still scared to be ashamed. I just hope for myself to get a bit braver everyday so I can slam those people who criticized me for being fat and ugly to the wall and walk away.
Please let me love my self
