Im working on a shrug/scarf in this amazing stitch - the Solomons Knot.

It looks way more complicated than it is and gives a lovely lacy finish that to me is like a flower or star.

Im using my last caron cake, so an aran weight yarn, with a 6mm hook.

  • ch 2, sc in 2nd ch from hook
  • elongate loop on hook, yoh pull a loop, insert hook into long loop with single strand of stitch on top on top, pull through a loop, then yoh and pull a loop through both ( you are essentially making a sc into the top of the long loop) - 1 knot created
  • repeat until desired length/ number of knots, turn
  • sc in 4th knot from edge, make 2 knots, sk one knot sc in next, repeat along
  • make 3 knots, sk sc at base of stitches, sc in next, make knots to end. Repeat this row until the scarf is desired size.

If there any questions about the pattern, feel free to comment :)
