One of my high school students told me his Mom was just involved in a serious wreck because she was texting while driving. Supposedly work trying to contact her. And, today I was talking to someone about how people get angry when they send you a text and you don't respond for several hours like you ought to have your phone on you 24/7. I frequently leave mine home, especially if I'm going to the beach or somewhere out-of-doors and though nobody has gotten angry with me, I have sensed they don't believe I've left it home and just think I was avoiding them/answering.
