I have often heard questions like is it mandatory to go to church? can't I just serve my God on my own? God searches the heart therefore he knows that I love him. I was privileged to listen to Bro Eli's Teaching about love and I realized that oftentimes we become selfish when we do not go to church. Infact from scriptures there's nothing like serving God Alone. When we say we love God and we want to serve Him as christians, the first thing He requires is that we fellowship with our brethren.

Bro Eli shared the word of God from Galatians 6:2. Reading from the amplified version it says;
Carry one another’s burdens and in this way you will fulfill the requirements of the law of Christ [that is, the law of Christian love].
I took some time to reflect on this scripture, and a question popped up in my heart. How would you know your brother has a burden if you don't fellowship with him? This means that the times we sit at home with the idea that we can serve God from the comfort of our home, we are leaving our brothers and sisters to carry their burdens by themselves thereby failing to fulfill the only law Christ gave us regarding Love.
Bro Eli shared another scripture from Roman 12:9a which says
Love is to be sincere and active [the real thing—without guile and hypocrisy].
Love is active. It's in the doing, and if the scriptures has commanded that we bear each other's burdens as a show of love, that means we need to start by showing up together as a church. We can not serve God without serving our brethren in Christ, we can not serve God without serving humanity. The scriptures also says in Galatians 6:10
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Our love should always be shown first in our service to humanity especially our Christian brothers and sisters as it is the first service we can refer to the lord. If the Lord knows your heart as we often claim, then men will see it through the deeds of your actions which are from your heart.
