Human desires are dangerous, note I did not say can be dangerous, but are litrally dangerous. I believe everyone has at one point wanted something so bad only to get it and discover it is not really what they wanted. I have seen this play out a lot of times, I can not even count how many times I have made choices and regretted them instantly. This is because I am human and can not foresee the aftermath of my decisions. There are things life has given me, experiences I have had, and people I have met that have made me change the things I thought I liked or wanted. These were things I never liked from the beginning until situations made me realize how valuable they are to me and because of that, it has made me understand that if I should be sincere with myself, there are choices I do not want to be given because I might make the wrong choice at the end of the day. There are things humans should never have control over because it will cause a lot of chaos at the end of the day. One of such things is determining how the child their birthing should be.
Such power is godly, it will make humans start birthing puppets instead of baby humans. Giving the power of creation to humans will be giving them total power over a life and making the life of a lot of people worthless. You will end up seeing children whose very existence is to serve the parents that created them and when such children start coming, people will start having puppets instead of children. We talk about the overpopulation in some countries, but I can bet with everything that the overpopulation that will arise from such power will be even more overwhelming. This is because humans like experiments, that such a power will make a lot of parents try out experiments on the kind of child they want until they get the perfect child. This will also make the rest of the children consider themselves failures, meanwhile they were just the wishes of parents who knew very little.
The fact remains that humans are terribly excellent at creation, and for that we will end up having more failed projects (children) than actual children. Humans do not know what they want until they see it, and thus should not be allowed to choose a life for another human. Every human has the right to grow up into who they want to be. Yes, guidance from parents is necessary, in fact I will say utterly important, but it should not turn into total control of one's life because that would be the goal for a lot of parents. Normally we already have a lot of parents raising their children to accomplish the things they couldn’t. When the child falls short of those expectations they are seen as failures. Now imagine bringing a child into this world for that sole purpose. Even the parents might not like the output at the end of the day and might end up with a lot of failed projects in the process.
