Today is the day, the first of February and for me, I think January was pretty successful as far as my consistency with my posting went. I had given myself the goal of powering up on the first of January, as well as doing a daily post. The daily posts were really just to see if I was able for it, turns out, I am. I really enjoyed the goal I'd set out and achieved it, earning myself the badge, which was the main reason I wanted to do it. I did my best as well, not to let the quality of my posts drop, or just put stuff out there for the sake of trying to get a daily post done. I had decided as I took on the challenge and goal, that if I notice a decline in quality that I'd give up the challenge and just wait until I had something worth sharing. That'll be in my mind for this months challenge too, so hopefully, I don't run out of things to talk about!
The only problem was, I missed my chance to join in on the power-up day. I was disappointed about that, since I'd missed it I was even more hell-bent on achieving the daily posting badge. There was one day, about 3 days ago and I nearly missed my post, some stuff had come up, which had me away for the whole day so I never had a chance to get on Ecency. But, when I got onto the laptop that night I started writing and managed to get it published at something like 11:58. I felt like Indiana Jones as he made it under the door and then reaches in to grab his hat before it closes haha.
This month I'm well able for it so I'm going for another month of daily posts, but, this time I didn't forget the power-up day. I was new to the platform by the time January 1st came around and didn't really understand what it was, but, now I kind of get it.
I powered up by 20 Hive, which has brought my Hive power up to 100.172, not a bad number for only one power-up, the other 80 I managed to earn over the course of 6 weeks, I don't know if anyone else would consider it a good number, but I think it's a good amount of growth and I'm pretty proud of it.
Anyway, here's to February and to another badge, this month is only 28 days so realistically is a bit easier than last month. Good luck to anyone else who is going for the monthly badge and I hope everyone has a great PUD!
