Every year, the bank takes a week to celebrate our cherished customers for their loyalty to the bank.
As part of this celebration, we the staff had specific dress code and activities for each day in the scheduled week.
Monday
Monday’s dress code was decent white shirt and blue jeans. Refreshment (breakfast) was served at the branches.
Tuesday
The dress code on Tuesday was Sportswear or Replica jersey. GCB branded Chocolates were given to customers. The main purpose of this particular dress code was to inspire our customers to have the desire to exercise and keep our bodies healthy.
Wednesday
Other professional uniforms or attire was the dress code for Wednesday. The mission behind this was to dress to excite our customers who are in other professions. I dressed as a nurse on this day to work.
Thursday
All staff were asked to dress casual on this day to work. Dress was to be decent and smart. As usual chocolates were shared to customers on this day.
Friday
Finally on Friday was Traditional African Wear day. All staff dressed in traditional African wear to showcase our national dress code for Fridays.
This week in particular was one of my best days working in the bank. The freedom to be in free wears instead of the everyday suits and shoes.
