THE MESSAGE IN THE DARK

So I asked myself a question before making this post, what information , feeling or emotions does a black and white image contain?
And it led me to start making some research about it which I'm going to share with you today

I found out that a black and white picture carries more weight in emotions and symbolism than a coloured image
Depending on the subject composition , a black and white photo can portray different messages and feelings, which I'll mention some

A black and white image portray timelessness and classic beauty, it often feels eternal like it belongs to any era or timeline.

It highlights emotions making faces, shadows and light more expressive portraying more drama and intensity

Without colour distraction, a viewer can pay attention to details like shape, lines and even expressions.
It often portray simplicity and minimalism

Black and white images brings memories of the past since most pictures of the old era where in black and white. I like to play with my imagination when I see a black and white picture of me, I just assume it's my grandpa 😂😁

In summary, black and white images tend to emphasize on emotions , story and structure more than surface appearance.
