My name is Khushboo Jain and I along with my hackmates are building a Platform that helps people around the globe on a single platform where they can connect and learn sign-languages.
My team Techno consists of 2 members Kanishka Sharma, Preeti Rani and me. We all are undergrads and are currently pursuing Bachelors in Technology from G.L. Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management.
Effective communication is crucial in today's digital age for interacting with people, getting information, and taking part in a variety of activities. However, standard communication channels can pose major challenges for the community of deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. We suggest creating a comprehensive platform that combines text-to-speech and speech-to-text features, video calling, and sign language instruction in order to address these issues. By improving accessibility and communication for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, this creative approach seeks to promote inclusivity and empowerment.
The platform's primary characteristics include interactive lessons and materials made to effectively teach sign language to users of various skill levels. While cutting-edge text-to-speech and speech-to-text technologies offer real-time transcription and translation services, the incorporation of video calling features designed for deaf and hard-of-hearing customers guarantees smooth communication through sign language.
