MY SQUAD FOR THE MATCH
Bro this EPL league match on eFootball had me stressed from the first whistle because I knew one slip and my unbeaten run in this new season was gone. LEE 0-1 MHB, playing away, and I came into this game top of the table. I’ve not lost a single match since the season started so the pressure was real. I was controlling MHB in that green and yellow kit and from kickoff I told myself, play calm, don’t force it, this is a league game not a cup final. Leeds were pressing hard, white shirts everywhere, and I could feel they wanted to be the ones to break my record. But I kept possession, moved it with De Bruyne, Neymar Jr, Rooney, and waited for the moment. I was even checking the mini-map every few seconds because one counter and it’s all over.
Then it happened in the 10th minute. Pavel Nedved, my number 9, got the ball and just did what legends do. The replay showed it clear, we worked it up the pitch, found space, and Nedved finished it. 1-0. The HUD popped up "Pavel Nedved Today's Goals: 1" and "Marvellous Goal! Now Keep Going!" and I swear I shouted. Nedved ran straight to the corner with arms wide, "NEDVED 9" on the back of that green and yellow shirt. Then Fletcher came running in jumping, my number 8 was there too, and even the manager on the sideline in the suit went crazy, both arms in the air like he just won the league. That goal was everything because in a tight league match like this, an early goal makes the other team panic. You could see the Leeds defenders' heads drop for a second and I knew I had to capitalize.
After that it was all about defending the lead and not being stupid. Leeds tried to come back at me with Rooney, Drogba, and Neymar Jr all over the place in their white kit. My keeper Nizamiwa in the blue jersey was shouting instructions the whole time, coming out for crosses, organizing the back line. I had to switch to "Pass It Around More" and "Dash & Pressure" at different points because they were throwing everything forward. You could see on the screen the subs coming on, Fletcher, Aguero, Berbatov, even Neymar Jr for them, and I knew they were going all out. But my team held shape. Ethan Ampadu was breaking up play, KDB was dropping deep to help, and every time we won the ball I made sure we didn’t just lump it. I played it safe because 1-0 in the EPL is the most dangerous scoreline. One mistake and they’re right back in it.
The second half was pure heart in mouth stuff. 15 minutes in and Leeds had like 3 chances, shots going just wide, my defenders throwing their bodies in. I could see the timer ticking, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00, and I’m just sitting there gripping my phone. This is why I love league matches on eFootball though, because every point matters when you’re top of the table. One draw and you drop, one loss and the unbeaten streak is finished. My fans in the stadium were loud even though it was away, and every tackle felt like a final. I brought on fresh legs, told the team to keep the ball, and just managed the game. No risks, no silly dribbles, just professional. Even the commentary was making me nervous like "can they hold on?"
Final whistle went and it was LEE 0-1 MHB. Clean sheet, 3 points, and still top of the EPL table with zero losses this new season. Nedved got the only goal and honestly he deserved it, he was everywhere. The win keeps the momentum going and proves that this squad can grind out results even when it’s not pretty. I’m not even gonna lie, I sat there for like 30 seconds after the game just taking it in because staying unbeaten is hard on this game. Seeing "TOP OF THE TABLE" still next to my name after that match felt different. Next match we go again, but for now I’m enjoying being top and still unbeaten. This is why I play league mode, for nights like this where one goal is enough to keep your whole season alive.
