This is my answer to “WE81 post topics: past and future” and you can also join this challenge here, Also a special shoutout to @galenkp for these wonderful questions as usual.
On this week’s post topic, the question I will be answering is option five which says;
Tell us about your 2022 goals and what plans you have set in place to achieve them. How will you track your progress, mitigate the risk of failure to achieve them and how will you celebrate when you attain them?
For years, I have written goals and new year’s resolutions but I never really focused on achieving them until 2021, like I always say, 2021 for me was a year that I was very intentional about my life and this pushed me into not only writing down goals but also working towards them and because of this, I promised myself to write down goals for 2022 also.
Now my goals for 2022 are separated into five parts and these parts are; financial/career, spiritual, health/physical, social/family, and mental/emotional and I will be taking the time to break down each of these goals.
To be completely honest, I think this will be one of my top priorities because most of my other goals hinge on this, so for my financial goals some things I want to achieve include;
For these goals, I will achieve them by being conscious about my finances, actively learning about finance, and also working towards them intentionally.
As a Christian, my spirituality is very important to me so some things I want to achieve in my spiritual life include;
To achieve these goals I will be setting reminders and alarms on my phone because I realized that it helped me a lot when I did it last year.
Like we all know health is wealth and looking good is good business so these goals include;
I think these goals involve money so to achieve most of them I will need to focus on my finances.
As someone who finds it hard to be around people I want to actively work on this so my goals here include;
I feel like this will be the easiest to achieve because I already focus a lot on this.
I have had past experiences dealing with depression and suicidal thoughts so I really wanted to be intentional about this area of my life this year so some goals here include;
I think these goals involve a lot of self-checking because it can be easy to fall off or forget so I'll do that by setting constant reminders.
It is essential to know that my goals aren't fixed and if I have more goals I will still group them into these sections but for now, these are what I will be focusing on.
I have also gone a step further to group the individual goals into small and large achievements in my book so for each small achievement I will treat myself to a snack or some sweets and for each large achievement I will buy an item I want and at the end of the year I will be reviewing this list.
I know that it wouldn't be easy achieving some of these but I am intentional so I know that I will work hard towards it and most likely achieve them all.
Before I end this, I will love to hear about your goals for 2022 below and how you plan on achieving them.
