Around Christmas, I had a conversation with @galenkp about how amazing his cooking looked, and how I would have loved to grab something from his table, and he responded with “a maybe one day we could have a hivemas” and since then, it has been on my mind.

This year’s Christmas happened to fall during the weekend and even though I know that most people would want to spend it with their families, there is nothing wrong with imagining how it would look if we spend it together.

Obviously for this hivemas, the venue will be at g-dogs’ house in Australia, so I'll be heading there a few days before to plan before other hivers come over.

GUEST LIST

For the guest list, I would be inviting hivers because what is a hivemas without them.

At the top of my mind, I think I'll be inviting some of the moderators like @tengolotodo because I love Eddie and I want to see him, also, I'll invite @andrastia, I feel like they are important to this community and they should be there.

Next set of people I will invite would include @benii and @deraaa because they are people from hive that I would love to see.

I wouldn't want to be the only one inviting, so I'll have galenkp invite some people also.

PLANS FOR THE FOOD

When I had that conversation with galenkp, I offered to bring some jollof rice which is a Nigerian staple, and he offered to bring his potato salad.

I feel like it would be nice to get everyone to bring a food that they love, so we can share it and since it's Christmas, it will make it special.

I will also get other foods and snacks from certain spots that I have seen from galenkp’s blog.

TOPICS OF DISCUSSION

I think the discussions would be very interesting because there will be three young people and three older people; that is if there are no more guests.

I would want some topics of discussion to surround experience and how to make the right decision while growing older.

I know that personally, I struggle with a lot of issues concerning identity and my future, so, having this discussion with people I know are filled with wisdom will help a lot.

ENTERTAINMENT

For entertainment, I would love for us to do something outdoorsy because I have always wanted to try an adventure, and what better time would I have.

I don't know if it snows at where g-dog stays but, hopefully, it doesn't so we can hike and go to a shooting range because I have always been curious about that while reading his blog.

Also, I feel like a movie night would be amazing and we could watch some oldies.

Lastly, I'll be convincing everyone to do a TikTok with me which I know might frustrate them but, it will be funny seeing us dance.
