Learning is one of the most interesting and important things in all of life. Of course, everyone needs to learn, either in a formal or informal way, so as to achieve one or two in life. There's no way you will not learn something, knowingly or unknowingly; there's no way we can escape from learning.
Meanwhile, each and every one of us has different ways in which we learn; the way
one person will learn is different from the way I will learn, and the way you will learn is different from the way other people will learn and vice versa.
We have different categories of learning: gifted and talented. These are the people that can learn very fast; you only need to teach them once, and they already know what you are teaching them. On the other hand, we have the average student; these people learn is not very fast and not very slow; they are in between; they take things slowly, but eventually they get what you are teaching them. And lastly, we have the last one: slow learners. These people learn very slowly; these are the people that need extra-curricular classes because it takes a lot of attention for them to know what you are trying to teach them.
So the real question is what is that one thing I found so easy to learn and one thing I found so difficult to learn? What I can learn so easily is coaching. I will say this is nothing but a gift. I have come to know how to work with my athletes. I have gotten to know more about athletes and why an athlete is not improving, and immediately I see an athlete. I've known what to do to make them improve, as I have produced lots of champions because of what I know how to teach.
I believe one of the reasons why this is so easy for me is because I enjoy it. I also created more time for it, as I do not see it as stress but as something I really need to know. Bonding with athletes and knowing their weaknesses and strengths makes more athletes want to always come to me and learn from me. I have also seen athletes that learn from other people and still come back to learn from me just because they love the way I used to teach them. So anytime we are having coaching classes, I'm always standing out from all the people staying there.
On the other hand, there is one thing I'm struggling to learn; I found it a little bit frustrating, and that is part of my job, which is the referee. I have seen some people doing referee courses, and they stand out, but I struggle a lot with this. Although sometimes I think because I don't really have time to learn, at the same time I realize that the little time I have to learn it, I still find it a little bit difficult.
Moreover, I realized these people doing well in this course might be their dream job, although I like referee courses, but unlike my coaching job, I didn't see it as a dream job; I just see it as something I need to learn and to know. So just as some people struggle with coaching, which I found so easy and soft, I also struggled with refree, and I did not even use to go there at all.
