“Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.” – Job 8:7.
When a woman takes seed no one sees it until maybe the second or third trimester. In other words, pregnancy doesn’t show until later. The fact that it is not seen doesn’t mean there is no baby growing inside of the womb. Some trees also take some time to grow because their roots go deep into the soil. An example is the Chinese bamboo tree which takes 5 years to grow. In the fifth year, it grows 80 feet tall in 6 weeks.
The fact that you don’t see anything happening now doesn’t mean God has forgotten about you. God is always preparing something great for you. Zechariah 4:10 ~ “For who hath despised the day of small things? For they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth.”
Do not despise your beginning. Your future is pregnant with great things. The prison connected Joseph to the palace. His helpers were in the prison. Two things happen when you wait on God. He gives you an “Ephraim” and “Manasseh” kind of blessing. What God has in store for you will make you forget all your troubles (Manasseh). And, God will make you fruitful/prosperous (Ephraim).
Continue to serve God faithfully, be dedicated and keep faith. While waiting on God grow roots by studying the Word, praying and making Jesus known. The righteous can never be put to shame. The pit and prison experience are linked to your kingship. A great future awaits you. Rejoice! God is up to something big and special.
