Hi guys,
Looking back at my days in high school, I wonder how I made it there in those three years that made so much impact on my life. Most of the time I wished I was still in junior high school because I had more rest, ate better and access to phone and tv .
I was so desperate to go to high school and have fun not knowing a whole lot of stress awaited me, but it wasn’t all stress, learning and prepping, the was fun times as well which made my days memorable in high school .
In my first semester of high school we did sports, which was the “form 1 games” meant purposely for freshers but well, these games weren’t as fun as the games meant for all forms. Almost every student used to look up to these activities.
The fun part was, it involved the whole student body and not just one level of students which helped us in socializing with other students.
Each year, we had these games where each house or hall compete in various sporting activities such as basketball , hand ball, net ball, volley ball, football and my favorite table tennis.
We had the opportunity to try out different games and find out which ones we were good at.Usually these games lasted for two weeks, the first week was for training, the next for the actual competition .
The girls had separate houses from the boys . The boys games were much fun than the girls.
I didn’t partake much in the other games, I played only table tennis for my house and one time volley ball which I wasn’t really good at, my house didn’t have many girls who played volleyball, so we had to step in and do our best.
During this period, emotions are heightened , the jubilations from winners, disappointment from lost games, desperation to win, dissatisfaction, the loud cheering and booing and a whole lot.
All these experiences were thrilling and looking back at my days in high school, I sometimes wish to go back and relive the time.
