Hello guys . It's been like a month since I wrote a post on hive, decided to check out the weekly engagement topics from hive Ghana for inspiration and bam! my expectations were met 馃槉 There were some nice and solid options but it was one that got my attention the most. CRINGE MOMENTS.馃槀
To be frank I like cringe stuff, my social media feed especially Instagram is full of cringe. Y'all remember "tung tung sahur, brmm brm patapim", etc, that Italian brainrot cringe meme 馃槀 that was everywhere on IG not long ago. My feed was heavily infected with it.
Now let me get straight to the point, Not very long ago I found myself in a cringe situation.
About 5 years ago I was a casual tiktoker, I used to post on my tiktok page, nothing serious, just hopping from one trend to another, lip-syncing, attempting dances that should have stayed in my draft 馃槀 and generally having fun. I had a number of followers, then I stopped posting on my tiktok, I guess life got busy, fast forward to Now. My friend started content creation and I think I caught the motivation bug and decided, why not revive my tiktok ? And maybe even promote my business there .(FYI I sell groundnut paste and Shea butter). So I made my first video, and let me just say, Content Creators, I salute!. Filming is manageable, editing a nightmare but the real villain of the story was my own voice, my Goddd, it's so exhausting. I wanted to do a voice over , you know those interesting ones you come accros on Tiktok. So after I finished with my video, I decided to do the voice over I was thinking, oh it's gonna be simple, that's when the problem started, I started strong and made the first voice over, but got stuck and didn't know what to say, my brain went blank 馃槶. so I started a new one, oh and yeah that one was better, I played it back and HOLY CRINGE 馃槵
I cringed so hard at my own voice. Felt like I should just vanish into thin air 馃槀, but thank God no one was around to witness this crime against the Ear 馃槀 in the end I kept only one line ," Hello guys, come with me to Red Clay Studios Tamale" 馃槀. The rest I added text throughout to make the video self explanatory.
