2-5-2018 ; I hope they fix the potholes here soon.
But I already have. To see a large part of your gains cut from the top is not pleasant. I believe I should follow trends in technical analysis a little more closely. I have fallen into the same trap twice, coming out both times with a minor scratch. The first was through Chaincoin, one experiment I survived with a profit, and the second is this current bear market.
To this day, I am still significantly up from my initial investment. I took the due diligence of withdrawing my initial investment so I can position myself in USDs. I had lost my chance at getting significantly larger gains. I've positioned myself as a bear to prepare for the next bull run. I believe the bear within me is strong and I will wait patiently until the time is right.
Currently, there are a lot of resources we, as informed traders, can educate ourselves with to reduce risk and maximize profit potential. I have recently read on steemit regarding another trader's strategy to completely shake out the weak hands in the EOS ICO, and rebuy back at a lower price comparative to pre-ico prices. I believe as an ICO, EOS will fall along with Bitcoin and Ethereum at a much slower pace than, for instance, SingularityNET. I am currently apart of SingularityNET , but I have sold off massive positions towards Bitcoin for the next run. I need to have USDs, Bitcoin, and Ethereum ready. These are the next tools we should use to get in at the bottom, when other's have criticized it of being a scam. I do not believe that all the weak hands are out yet. People will take some time, like in a war, to lose faith. There are those who are stubborn, unwilling to sell. As the days, weeks, months, and potentially years pass ahead, I will reposition myself to buy the best ICOs and projects at lower prices. No more shitcoins, because the times ahead will be more difficult. These scammy, or copycat projects will weed themselves out.
I need developer faces, I need Github development, I need a strong community, I need support, and I need to feel productive while being apart of these socio-economic systems.
Below are my biases.
Top tier projects: I am paying attention to these projects, in no particular order.
I have done some research in the past few days regarding ICOs in the times ahead. I have sold most of my ICOs for Bitcoin at a loss. Even with my losses in the past few days, I am making sure I have enough firepower for the next run. I am ahead of last year, but I have fallen behind this month. This community is filled with opportunities, still, despite all the FUD.
Waiting patiently to pick you up again, baby
I may be wrong, but I do not regret my safe decision to capitalize on what I have gained. In the long run, people will value their cryptos in Satoshis. Right now, Bitcoin's prices are the one to follow. Ethereum is also a good signal as well. Bitcoin's Satoshi has the true determination of value of all the cryptocurrencies.
For now, Steemit is like a fortress. I have to hold my steem power anyways. The market's wild fluctuations are not worth retrieving the few Steem I have. With you guys, I hope we can get through this. There is opportunity lurking where others have given up. Only a few succeed, and we may potentially be apart of that boat. I've learned a lot from asking questions to other steemians who have more experience than I do.
I have made many, many, many mistakes in this market so far. Aside from this FUD, I'm glad that I have not used loans and I have not been priced out of my initial investment. I'm just learning and discovering opportunities while waiting for the next bull to come along before I hitch a ride.
