Lately I've been thinking a lot about self expression through art. It's something that I feel like I've either yet to find or yet to notice in my own work. Obviously I've got something to say like every other soul, and when I imagine myself as a director, writer or musician I feel pretty confident and sure what type of movie, book or music I'd direct or write; however if I apply that same idea to illustration, my mind goes blank. I feel like I'm still searching for my identity in art, just as I am still searching for my identity in life in general. Maybe the journey of self discovery is a never ending one and we're all meant to do things we feel like doing in the mean time.
