Welcome to our first Steemit post. We've recently started our Kensho project and are very excited to see how many people have already joined the Kensho Life! Thank you all for your support, it means a lot to us!
We are Veronica and Enrique, a Spanish couple who, according to our English friends, have a sexy accent and far too much gesticulation. We arrived in London on a cold and bleak winter night armed with two suitcases full of chorizo, rocket-high levels of excitement and a three-night booking in a decrepit B&B. Fourteen years after we’re still here. But not for long.
The truth is we’ve had and incredibly intense and vibrant life in London, we’ve been lucky enough to meet people from all walks of life and different cultures, made the most extraordinary friendships, learnt to look at the world from a different angle and have enrolled in almost every course on offer. But we feel it’s time for a new chapter, so we are dropping our life of comfort, opportunities, certainty and Amazon Prime in search for an alternative way to live our lives. We don't really know what shape an alternative life has at the moment, but we're ready to find out. And we are just as excited as we were on that cold winter’s night all those years ago.
The initial plan is to travel to different places in the world to collaborate in projects related to nature, sustainability and social change and tell our adventures in our blog, but before we start crossing oceans and climbing mountains, we're having to pack and transport our fourteen years worth of baggage (both physical and emotional) and drive back to Madrid, our hometown. And unload.
Kensho is a term from the Japanese Zen that can be translated as Ken "vision, seeing"and Sho “essence, nature”, referring to the journey of discovering one’s own true nature.
Kensho is a journey of learning and discovery, where we share experiences, tools and tips about well-being, ecology and ourselves.
We are interested in issues such as well-being, happiness, purpose, fulfilment, sustainability, social change and life changes. We investigate how our minds and emotions work and share the tips and tools that we find helpful to live a happier, more meaningful life in balance with nature and people around us.
See you around!
