After several days of hard work doing this piece, I present my new artwork.
I wanted to do something different, something i had never done, i thought about doing pointillism. i took a few days to think about it, i wanted to do something complex and that the technique could be appreciated, something that i would like and it would be very similar to my style.
I like realism, it's what i do best so i said let's make realism with pointillism, but what will i do? ... A portrait! i love illustrating portraits and the idea of illustrating Georges Seurat, creator of this technique, came to my mind.

Pointillism is a style of painting that consists of making a work by means of points.
In the year 1884 the painter of Neoimpressionism Georsges Seurat made the first work in pointillism.
Pointillism consists of putting points of pure colors instead of brushstrokes on the canvas. This was the result of the chromatic studies carried out by Georges Seurat.
I wanted to do this work only with black ink.
Now, images of the process and a brief description, there is not much to talk about but i made millions of points!
started by illustrating the eyes, for the dark parts i used the thicker tip marker 05
I understood that these markers work same to the pencils, the higher the number, thicker the point.
I could not explain very well what i was doing, it's my first time doing pointillism and i do not know how to describe the techniques, but the darker the area the more points towards.
Use the marker 02 for the lighter areas, i also realized that if a lot of thin points gives a much lighter tone than joining many thick points, i´m discovering how this works!
Okay, now the hair, do not guess what i did here ... yes, more points!
To be honest, it is not only about making points and more points, i also use a lot of common sense and my knowledge of realism to know how to degrade the points. Where to make more points and where to make fewer points.
Finally after 3 days of work (or were 4?) A lot of patience and a Hidden voice that told me "Come on you are short, you can do it" (she knows what i mean) I finish this piece, very satisfied i show you the final art!
I am very grateful to all of you for all the support you give me, for your comments and for enjoying my work!
Performing pointillism is not easy, it takes a lot of patience. Halfway through the job i wanted to throw it in the trash and do something else, but i had patience until i finished it. After seeing the result i was very satisfied. (But i will never do it again)
I think it was the absence of materials that made it so difficult for me, maybe i used few markers or not the right ones. i am completely unaware of the proper use of materials for this technique, however i wanted to experiment.
Thanks again for visiting me and i hope you enjoyed my post!
