It was a hot day in Agege, Lagos, and we'd been without power for nearly three weeks. We were all getting pretty frustrated.
Then, this guy showed up. I 'll call him Mr. Disconnecto because i can't recall his name again. He came with a long aluminium ladder and a plan: he wanted to disconnect our wires from the power pole. Usually, they do this when you haven't paid your electricity bill, but this time, we knew it wasn't our fault.
As Mr. Disconnecto started climbing the pole, grumbling about unpaid bills, something unexpected happened.

From down the street, Colonel Babatunde, a retired army officer who lived next door, yelled, "Hey, stop!"ππ
Even though Colonel Babatunde was retired, he was still a tough guy who everyone respected. He walked over to Mr. Disconnecto, looking serious.π€π€
"What do you think you're doing?" Colonel Babatunde asked, but then he started laughing.πππ He pointed at the power pole and said, "This pole is my friend. You don't mess with my friend."
We all laughed tooππ because it was pretty funny. Mr. Disconnecto tried to climb down, but it was too late.
**Colonel Babatunde gave him a big, hard slap that sent Mr. Disconnecto's glasses flying.πππ² We all gasped and then laughed even harder.ππ
But Colonel Babatunde didn't stop there. He gave Mr. Disconnecto a few more slaps,ππ and Mr. Disconnecto looked really confused and messed up.**π€£π€£
Finally, Colonel Babatunde said, "This pole and I have an agreement. Nobody messes with it. Now, go tell your bosses what happened here."π³π€£π€£π€£π€£ That os lagos Nigeria for you, ππ
**YOU HAVE POWER TOU HAVE EVERYTHING ****
Mr. Disconnecto ran away, and we never saw him again.π³π³ππ
So, in the middle of our power problems, Colonel Babatunde became our hero. He taught Mr. Disconnecto a lesson, and we had a good laugh. It was a day when laughter beat frustration, and we'll be talking about it for a long time.
