Hello steemians, goodday to you all over the world, good day @ EJEMAI, and gooday @ the Great STAACH and all intellectual Writers. Well for one or two reasons I've not been on hold with my pen to write. but guess what!! I'M BACK!!
Well I guess you guys missed me, because I missed you all. But guess where I was today.
Yes!! At one of the oldest Art galleries in Rivers State Nigeria, right in the four walls of the University of Portharcourt. The fine arts Gallery*
Well it was a great experience especially when I had to discover a lot of things about this wonderful art gallery.
Well this small art town has been in existence since the establishment of the noble university institution back then in 1978. The artifact in the last picture (the Gigantic Girl,See how she's belittling a mature man like me, LOL) was actually done by a student back then in the early 90's (anonymous). The sculpture depicts a traditional girl dancing to the tone of her culture.
How about this!
I'm not sure of what this guy is about to do (its looking like he wants to hit me with that thing in his hand, but I just don't want to believe that, I think I'm imagining things here) Lol.
Okay guys, this man is a Gold smith trying to hit some metal sheets. Work done with flat metal sheets and fibres, also in the 90s by a team of students(all works found in this fine place were done by students, kudos to these creative hands.
Now let's view some paintings!
Substantial oil paintings
Well I've got some men at work!
Wanna show you something, some things behind me the common Adobe photo shop by a graphics student, Joseph Mordy, 2016.
This guy here was painted by photo shop,
It became even more interesting when I saw the famous pop star singer, Bruno Mars in his Graphic portrait form, indeed men are creative.
Well guys I have seen whole lot of arts, visuals and pictures, but I've never seen a transparent one.
This African styled painting is tagged "Juju painting ",
