One of the questions I asked myself when I first got into writing online was; 'If I ever get an opportunity to do this as a medium to long-term project, will it be something I will enjoy doing?'
You may not be aware, but this was a very important question because I like being very calculative and futuristic while diving into things, especially when it's something I hope to integrate into my future. I've already tried the Banking sector and it was a rough experience while it lasted. I didn't need an angel to tell me that working in that place wasn't something I will enjoy doing for a decade. I saw the signal early enough and placed myself in a position where I can explore other opportunities for myself.
Writing wasn't on the list of potential opportunities, but there are only a few things you can do when you are forced into a lockdown for a couple of months. At that point, there was nothing to lose. I decided to explore writing on a platform built on Ethereum. The first post I read when I signed up on the site was a post published by Tiger Lily (aka Dreemsteem).
She and her team are the ones that helped me to understand everything about writing decent content online. I was ready to learn and in about 6 months, they introduced me to Hive.
Since the moment I came across Dreemie and her team, I've been learning so much from them. They have been very supportive in so many ways and they have been a source of inspiration. When I heard about Hive from this same team, I knew it will surely be a good learning experience. I didn't think twice after checking it out. I signed up on 31st December 2020, made my first post the next day and the journey has been a wholesome adventure till this very moment.
The delegations I used to do things during my first couple of months came from Shadowspub, Dreemsteem and Penderis (our super bot). Haha. They have been very supportive in more ways than I can mention and their river of support is still flowing till this very moment. Wow! These are people I've never seen before. Sometimes, I find it hard to believe that I'm yet to physically meet these amazing people. Hehe.
As I spent each new day on Hive, while practising everything I learned from Dreem and her team, it became very easy to enjoy what goes on within and outside the blockchain. For the record, I've been saying Dreem's Teem since the beginning of this post. Haha. Well, the best part of my online activity is the fact that I'm part of this teem.
Yeah. I became an official member of Dreemie's teem when I got an offer to be a tutor in her content creation University, called Uptrend University. That offer came after completing my sophomore course at the online Uni. Hehe. I worked a lot with Newbies as a Coach until I graduated from the course.
However, even after graduation, way before I heard about Hive, I was still retained in the teem and I've been a member of the teem till this very moment. We've been through so much together and being introduced and guided through my Hive journey has been an unquantifiable gift which I got from Dreemie and the team.
That rubbed off on me too... I can't ignore any call for help from anyone. Haha. Doesn't matter who's asking. As far as I can help, I put myself on the line and assist... In the Dreemiest possible way. Lol.
