I was thinking of going to an event last night, but instead I ended up in my favorite coffee shop. As soon as I sat down, my favorite band started playing through the overhead speakers. Whoever was in charge of the music ended up playing the entire album.
I spent a couple hours enveloped in a good book, and when I stepped outside at closing time, the jazz trumpeter at the open-air bar nextdoor reeled me in. I lingered ten minutes or so beside the back entrance, just reveling in the music beneath the light of a full, yellow moon.
I lined up a few of my favorite covers of La Vie En Rose in a YouTube playlist and wove my way through rows of amber streetlamps till I reached my car.
So, yeah, agreed; this is good advice. :)
